Our educational project
Psychopedagogical bases
At Mainada, we integrate traditional methodologies with the latest knowledge and new contributions in child development: Maria Montessori, Piaget, Vigostky, Bruner, Reggio Emilia’s creativity, early learning with Glenn Doman, Howard Gardner and multiple intelligences and emotional intelligence.
Growing up in an environment of care and respect for oneself and others.
Habits and routines help children to achieve a good level of autonomy and personal security.
We encourage children to experience and learn about the world around them through their experiences and experiences.
Thinking culture
We follow a new pedagogical model based on the culture of thinking. We use thinking as a pedagogical strategy and thinking routines to promote understanding and learning.
We promote the use of visible thinking from Harvard University, as well as other methodologies to encourage analytical, critical and creative thinking.
Learning does not come to pupils only through the transmission of information; the real learning happens when children use that information.
Early learning
Visual, auditory and motor stimulation is carried out daily at our school, always in a natural and fun way.
The greatest period of brain growth occurs between the ages of 0 and 6 years.
The right environment and the right stimuli will help to set in motion the project that each child carries at birth.
Part of the task of the pre-school is to help develop the enormous potential that every child carries.
Multiple intelligences
We understand learning in a globalised way: concepts, music and art are as important as emotional skills.
Each of the learning areas is worked on in a globalised and joint manner.
Emotional education
Esteem and affection are the driving force for learning.
Motivation, interest, wanting to overcome new challenges, tolerating refusals, self-acceptance… are key elements that will allow children to advance in their knowledge of their environment and of themselves.
Comprehensive education of children capable of feeling, living together, being and doing.
Relations with families
We understand that the collaboration and participation of families is key in the educational task.
The daily contact of the family with the tutor of each pupil is important in order to work together and, thus, favour a harmonious and integral development of the child.
Trilingual school
At Mainada we speak Catalan, Spanish and English on a daily basis.
We use the TET (Total English Teaching) method for teaching English.
Phonics, vocabulary and some expressions are learned spontaneously through play and songs (Total English Teaching).
Children have an innate ability to learn any language naturally and spontaneously during the first months of life.
